March 28th, 2009

Starting in April, the town of Cary will be switching to 65 gallon recycling carts instead of the current 18 gallon bins.  Once the new carts arrive, curbside pickup will be rescheduled to every other week on the same day as you regular solid waste collection.  Full details can be found here.

Annual assessment bills contain incorrect info

January 29th, 2009

In addition to being mailed out late, the bills for the HOA annual assessments set out on December 15 contained the statement:

As per Article IV, Section 1 of the Brookstone legal documents the Board of Directors approved an increase of 8.23%.

There was in fact no increase in the assessment for 2009.  A hastily posted statement to the association’s website blames the management company for the mistake.  The statement announcing the increase was apparently a holdover from the December 2008 bill.

The assessment for 2009 remains at $460 per year, paid biannually.
