In January of this year, the Brookstone HOA Board announced through its website that all of its quarterly meetings would be open to homeowners. In practice, the Board’s idea of an open meeting is laughable.
Homeowners are given 15 minutes at the beginning of each meeting to talk about any issues they may have. Homeowners are then asked to leave the premises before any actual Board business is discussed! Why is it that the Board finds it necessary to conduct ALL of its business behind closed doors? How does it justify excluding its members from the decision making process?
